Position overview

We are seeking a Board eligible/certified Clinical Molecular Geneticist or Molecular Pathologist to join our clinical team (director level will be commensurate with experience). This individual will take on a central role in day to day management of key areas such as the development of a sustainable genomic knowledge management infrastructure. Long term goals include developing diagnostic WGS based services and expanding our menu for disease-focused tests. Experience with clinical NGS and ACMG based variant interpretation are a must and additional expertise in bioinformatics is a plus. Veritas Genetics supports academic activities including publishing and participation in leading professional bodies such as AMP and ACMG.

Key responsibilities

  • Approve content of and sign out clinical reports (whole genome and diagnostic cancer testing) as needed and as compatible with other commitments
  • Develop and maintain clinical and genomic knowledge base for key clinical areas
  • Refine curation protocols for disease-specific gene sets
  • Collaborate with Veritas’ genetic counseling team on result interpretation and communication
  • Participate in business development efforts in relevant clinical areas
  • Interface with Veritas' technical and product development teams during product development and routine operations

Requirements

  • M.D. or Ph.D. and ABMG certification in Clinical Molecular Genetics or ABMG/ABP certification in Molecular Genetic Pathology. At least 2 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Significant experience in molecular genetic testing, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technologies, with knowledge of, and experience with, classifying and interpreting genetic variants
  • Experience with clinical regulatory requirements
  • Basic computational or bioinformatic skills strongly preferred
  • Ability to balance and manage multiple tasks and projects independently in a fast paced, matrixed environment.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary team
  • Outgoing individual who loves working with people and drives results by outcome orientation and leading by influence

Description:

Veritas is looking for a talented Digital/UX Designer to be part of our in-house Marketing and Design team. We are looking for someone that has extraordinary passion for creating great experiences. This person will work closely with a small and talented creative team including other like-minded designers, writers, marketing and communication managers. He/she will also have the opportunity for high visibility as they interact with the Chief Marketing and Design Officer on a regular basis. There is flexibility in negotiating working remotely from time to time, based on the schedules and needs of the team and partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, sitemaps and screen flows
  • Create stunning and effective digital designs and user experiences within our new online brand platform and secure customer account portal
  • Contribute to a strong, clear aesthetic and high design and production standards, within the Veritas brand identity
  • Analyze user feedback and activity, and iterating to enhance the user experience
  • Conduct competitor and customer analysis
  • Contribute to and following creative briefs and schedules an aligning with the team on all projects
  • Work with the team to develop new creative concepts and seeking new areas of design and technology for individual, team, and brand development
  • Review material for completeness and accuracy and maintain accurate and up-to-date marketing files
  • Assisting in content development and planning marketing strategies and objectives as needed

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in graphic design, digital design, fine arts or a related field with a minimum 3-5 years of digital design and UX experience
  • A solid understanding of graphic design, web technologies, and wireframing/prototyping tools and previous experience working closely with UI designers, web developers, and graphic designers
  • Superb communication, time- and process-management skills, keen problem-solving and organizational abilities, and attention to detail
  • An interest in health, learning about the genetic/genomic fields, and making a difference in the life science industry
  • Excitement and energy derived from working for a small start-up company, and wearing many hats in a fast-paced, challenging, and team-oriented environment
  • Must present a robust portfolio that shows your talent in visual design as well as creative user experience and/or platform/interface design

Role Description

Veritas is looking for a dynamic and customer focused HR Generalist to support a broad range of HR functions. This may include employee relations, recruitment, compensation, organizational development and HR compliance. This would be the first HR position we have here at the Danvers location, so the ideal candidate is someone who is ready to hit the ground running!

  • Evaluate and develop human resource initiatives that support and are aligned with company goals.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate policies, programs, and practices.

Requirements:

Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist (Molecular Biology)

Primary responsibilities:

  • Performs routine high-complexity testing, quality control, calibration, maintenance and proficiency testing in accordance with current laboratory procedures.
  • Documents all corrective action taken as indicated in established laboratory procedures.
  • Oversees inventory and ordering of laboratory supplies.
  • Documents any problems, issues or information that may be necessary for other testing personnel to be aware of in a Communication Log.
  • Participates in validation of and trains on new procedures
  • Informs senior personnel of any problem or issue that affects the reporting of patient results
  • Communicates effectively and fosters teamwork and mutual respect.
  • Performs routine review of all laboratory procedures and updates procedures.
  • Identifies opportunities for quality and workflow improvements and brings ideas to senior staff.
  • Experience with most or all of the following technologies is preferred:
    • PCR and qPCR
    • Next-generation sequencing library preparation and instrument runs
    • Operation of liquid handling systems
    • Capillary electrophoresis: Sanger sequencing and fragment analysis
    • Integrated laboratory information management systems (LIMS)

Requirements:

BS in biological sciences or related field is required. Experience working in a clinical molecular laboratory high preferred. ASCP certification (Molecular Biology) is a bonus, but not a requirement.

We will rely on you to manage the flow of the entire process and track the progress of every sample – domestic as well as international - through the system.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate product launches
  • Planning and resource management, including with all stakeholders setting success metrics and communicating results
  • Detailed day-to-day project management and coordination of team interaction
  • Manage logistics from first customer contact to report delivery
  • Work with and coordinate a cross-functional team for issue resolution and with Customer Support to define and answer questions in a timely manner

  • Manage external collaborations and interactions with large customers
  • Manage multiple distribution channels.
