Role Description

Veritas is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to be part of our Marketing and Design team. If you are someone who can clearly express the Veritas brand and story, and communicate the unique value Veritas brings to the genomic world, this might be the role for you. You will have the opportunity to create high-level multi-channel advertising campaigns as they relate to brand recognition, visual identity, and marketing strategy. This role will be responsible for the development of different marketing materials across our different marketing channels including our website, email, digital ads, social media and print (catalogs, brochures, inspiration guides, etc.). This person will have the opportunity for high visibility as he/she will interact with the Chief Marketing and Design Officer on a regular basis.

  • Design communications, digital media, flyers, advertisements, campaign materials and other materials as needed with clean typography and compelling graphics that reinforce brand guidelines.
  • Contribute to a strong, clear aesthetic and to high design and production standards
  • Create creative sales/marketing campaign collateral
  • Contribute to and follow creative briefs and schedules
  • Develop new creative concepts and seek new areas of design and technical growth for individual and team development
  • Review material for completeness and accuracy and maintain accurate and up-to-date marketing files.
  • Assist in planning marketing strategies and objectives as needed.
  • Assist on marketing projects as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fine arts or marketing, or related field with a minimum 1-3 years of graphic design experience
  • Exceptional print and digital creative and design experience with a robust portfolio that shows your talent in both printed materials and Web
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

Human Resources Manager

Role Description

Veritas is looking for a dynamic and customer focused HR Generalist to support a broad range of HR functions. This may include employee relations, recruitment, compensation, organizational development and HR compliance. This would be the first HR position we have here at the Danvers location, so the ideal candidate is someone who is ready to hit the ground running!

  • Evaluate and develop human resource initiatives that support and are aligned with company goals.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate policies, programs, and practices.
  • Provide proactive HR support, guidance, counsel and strategic input to maximize the effectiveness of the businesses within Veritas.
  • Drive recruitment and ensure qualified candidates are hired to fill current and projected positions. Analyze the need for an applicant tracking system.
  • Manage the on-boarding process for new hires.
  • Determine the training needs of the organization. Coordinate and secure appropriate resources to deliver training and/or delivers the training personally.
  • Advise management on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, programs, and employment law requirements as they pertain to associate selection, hiring, training, development, discipline, and termination.
  • Drive performance management for all employees, including review process, promotions, and talent review/succession planning program.
  • File annual EEO-1, Vets, and Affirmative Action reports.
  • Develop and analyze appropriate HR statistics, metrics, data and trends to meet management information needs.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience performing a similar role. If you’ve worked in a life science or start-up environment, even better!

Informatics scientist

Role Description & Requirements

We are seeking an Informatics Scientist to help develop and manage the data analysis pipeline for our CLIA laboratory in Danvers, MA. We value motivation, team fit, attention to detail as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. You are energetic, hardworking, and willing to do many different tasks from day to day. You keep your eye on the ball and finish what you start, all the while juggling multiple priorities.

This person will be an essential part of our Bioinformatics department, starting with the management of our data analysis pipeline. Analysis pipeline management includes development of new techniques for processing data as well as ensuring correct operation of the production pipeline.

  • Knowledge of programming, Linux command line, and some basic computer hardware repair skills are essential.
  • Clear written and verbal communication is essential for interfacing with other departments. Most, if not all, work will be performed on site.
  • PhD in molecular biology, genetics, genomics, statistics or similar or Master’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in similar fields. Previous experience in one or more fields of heritable disease biology is critical for success.
  • Must be able to program in Python, Perl, or equivalent. Experience in R, S, S+, Matlab or other statistical language is also required. Command line (bash, csh, tcsh) interface is a plus as is knowledge of Next Generation Sequencing data analysis and tools (bwa, samtools, gatk, picardtools, etc).

Product Manager (Level Commensurate with Experience)

Role Description

Veritas is looking for a talented product manager to be part of our CLIA certified laboratory team. The Product Manager will be responsible for the P&L and oversight of one or several of Veritas’ targeted genetic testing (panels) products or delivery channels (i.e. Researcher or Distributors).

You must be energetic, personable, detail-oriented, hardworking, passionate and punctual. You must have great communication and organizational skills, and understand the absolute importance of delivering timely and accurate results to our customers. We will rely on you to manage the flow of the entire process and track the progress of every sample – domestic as well as international - through the system.

  • Deliver on agreed upon revenue and profit goals
  • Definition, execution, and iteration of the product strategy
  • Planning and resource management
  • Detailed day-to-day management and coordination of a cross functional matrixed product team
  • Oversee the entire experience of the business from first customer contact to report delivery and support in collaboration with the operations

Sales Director

Role Description

Veritas has an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic sales leader to drive and provide leadership for the day to day activities of our small but growing sales function. Reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer, this individual will be a key member of the commercial team and will direct the sales function and execute upon a sales strategy designed to fulfill the growth and revenue goals for the company. This position is responsible for ensuring optimal sales volume and building critical relationships globally. He/she will be responsible for building the sales team and leading, motivating and mentoring them in order to gain competitive edge in the market. This position requires overnight domestic and international travel approximately 20 to 40% of the time

Day to Day Accountabilities and Opportunities:

  • Drive the US and ROW (ex China) sales performance. Responsible to execute daily activities that visibily advance best strategic and financial opportunities.
  • Review account opportunities with each member of BD team on at least a weekly basis, ensuring fits sales process and applicable strategic account or standard account criteria, mitigating risks and driving revenue and capacity planning.
  • Ensure collection and communication of differentiators to maintain Veritas’ industry leadership with a clear understanding of the customers' key decision drivers, financial requirements, and technology gaps that Veritas can serve.
  • Analyze business opportunities and ensure account plans developed for strategic opportunities and facilitate development of scaleable efficient prospecting and sales process to close standard opportunities.
  • Forecast and deliver bookings and revenue at or exceeding plan.
  • Provide ongoing deep analyses of sales opportunity performance to identify sales barriers and allow for timely and rapid mitigation efforts.
  • Coach account managers to set, evaluate and exceed performance expectations.
  • Leading by example, encourage team to develop opportunities, build long lasting, value added relationships, and use CRM to drive customer engagement.
  • Drive talent management, succession planning and the professional development of a highperforming sales organization.
  • Promote unquestioned integrity and strong ethics throughout the sales organization.
  • Coordinates review of strategic account opportunities and standard product sales processes with CCO, including pricing and actions to win review with broader team.
  • Coordinates requirements for product, operations and marketing needs and backlog, including appropriate escalation to CCO.
  • Advises CCO and other senior team members on relevant client or market concerns.
  • Develops and maintains "core" knowledge of competitive products, services, technology solutions, and reimbursement/billing issues.
  • Provides necessary and appropriate post-sales service to accounts, utilizing each opportunity to discover and pursue additional business.

Previous Experience and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of progressive responsibility selling in a life science environment is required.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms is required.
